Members of our Association participated in the final meetings of the participants in the EU project "Cultural Landscapes", on November 8 and 9, 2025 in Novi Marof, Croatia.

The project leader was the Local Action Group (LAG) "Prizag" Novi Marof. This was an opportunity to bring together representatives of all participants in the project, namely NGOs, development agencies and municipalities, which, in addition to Croatia, as the host, come from Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the central event, which took place on Saturday at the Cultural Center in Novi Marof, through the introduction of participants, panel discussions and presentation of conclusions, our Association presented the impact that the small Slovenian community has had on the cultural landscape of Banja Luka and its surroundings over the past more than a hundred years, with special emphasis on the work of the Association of Slovenians Triglav and its cultural impact.

In addition, we presented visions of the state of cultural landscapes in our area and ways in which we can influence their preservation and valorization. As participants, we also had the opportunity to visit some accompanying events in Novi Marof and the surrounding area, such as the Novi Marof “Martinovanje” and the “14th Prigorje-Zagorje Fair” in Breznički Hum. The fair is an event that promotes small local producers of agricultural and food products, handicrafts and creativity of the rural area.

A special experience for our members was accommodation in old Zagorje wooden houses on the slopes of Grebengradska gora near Novi Marof, where we had the opportunity to get to know the cultural landscape of Zagorje and Prigorje in the best way.
