The Association of Slovenians of the Republika Srpska Triglav participated in the traditional Festival of National Minorities, organized by the Union of National Minorities of the Republika Srpska.

The event was held on October 24, 2025 in the "Centar" sports hall in Banja Luka.

As in previous years, the Festival was a real mosaic of colors, sounds and diversity, which this time united in a joint humanitarian action "All minorities for little heroes". The aim of the action was to collect aid for the Banja Luka Safe House and the "Iskra" Association, which brings together parents of children suffering from malignant and serious illnesses.

At the exhibition and sales stands of 12 national minority associations operating in the territory of the Republika Srpska, visitors could enjoy national cuisine, souvenirs, publishing and various authentic products. By purchasing these products, visitors also contributed to the humanitarian action.

The stand of the Slovenian minority was decorated with recognizable Slovenian sweets - Prekmurska gibanica and walnut strudel, which, thanks to the culinary skills of members Ljiljana Memon and Olga Delić, were sold out even before the end of the program. Special attention was also attracted by the promotional material of our Association - tea cups, cloth and eco mugs with the symbol and inscription of the Association "Triglav", designed for this occasion by our Luka Babić.

At the stand, you could also find our bilingual books In the Heart’s Pocket and Over Coffee, as well as the picture book of our young member Milica Marjanović, which aroused great interest among visitors.
In a rich cultural and artistic program, which included choir, folklore and solo performances, as well as traditional guslar singing, our Association presented itself with the children's folklore section, which performed the collection of Slovenian dances, and the Mixed Choir "Davorin Jenko", which sang three songs from its standard repertoire.

Whether it was due to the generosity of the visitors or the quality of what we offered, our stand was "easy to clean" at the end of the event - which for us was the best sign of success.

With a feeling of special satisfaction and pride, we concluded another participation in the successfully organized Festival of National Minorities of the Republic of Srpska.
