On the occasion of marking 15 years of work of the Union of National Minorities a ceremony took place on 22 September 2018 in the Cultural Centre Banski dvor in Banjaluka.
The attendees were greeted by president of the Union of National Minorities of the Republic of Srpska Franjo Rover. Mayor of Banjaluka Igor Radojičić addressed the attendees and commended all invited representatives of national minorities for successful 15 years of work. In the cultural programme there was the performance of Mixed choir from Prnjavor. Plaques and recognition certificates were awarded for long-term work, disinterested commitment, preservation of cultural heritage, customs, language and respect of the environment in which they live to deserving representatives of national minorities. Association Triglav received a plaque for successful work, while the recognition certificate for many years of managing the Association and selfless contribution to the work of the Union was awarded to president Marija Grbić.
Every year, the Union of National Minorities of the RS Banjaluka presents its national variety in a review intended for Banjaluka citizens and all those who wish to see and get familiar with the variety of nations, their fellow citizens. The 15th jubilee of cultural creativity was marked on 22 September 2018 in the Sport Hall Obilićevo in Banjaluka by 11 associations presenting themselves to many visitors by singing, dancing, short plays and cuisine. The review was attended by Mayor of Banjaluka Igor Radojičić, who addressed the attendees after the welcome speech of president of the Union of National Minorities Franjo Rover. Minister of Education and Culture of RS Dane Malešević, briefly addressed all wishing that national minorities continue their successful work.
The cultural programme then followed and lasted for an hour and a half. There performed two Slovenian associations, Lipa from Prijedor and Association Triglav RS Banjaluka. Members of Association Lipa sang two songs, and young members of Association Triglav Banjaluka danced and successfully presented nice thoughts in Slovenian.
