On 19 December 2014, at the request of the Slovenian Emigrant Association, representatives of the Association of the Slovenians of the RS “Triglav” Banja Luka took part at a pre-holiday meeting organized in the Slovenian Emigrant Association. Programme, prepared for this purpose, was not only festive but also educational.

Meta Lokar, MA, a lecturer at the Slovenian Department at one of the faculties in China, made a short and interesting lecture titled “Nǐhǎo ma – how are you?” about Slovenians and the Slovenian language in China. She presented China, their way of living, how a number of Slovenians living in that country had adapted there and how interested young Chinese were in learning Slovenian. Connections between China and Slovenia increase as years go by. Interest of the Chinese people is not only regarding connections in trade but they also wish to get familiar with Slovenian culture, language and natural beauties of Slovenia. A share in successful networking is also of people who work in the Slovenian Emigrant Association trying to successfully present the beauties of Slovenia all over the world via their programmes.

The Slovenian Emigrant Association, in particular president Sergij Pelhan and general secretary Vesna Vukšinič Zmajić, organized a pleasant and successful day during our visit.
