7 February 2014, »Prešeren’s Days« City Theatre Jazavac

Theatre and puppet play Tinček Petelinček was presented in pleasant atmosphere of excellent acoustic hall of theatre Jazavac. The play is over two hundred years old and this time it was played by experienced theatre actors Nina Ivanič and Jernej Kuntner.

The puppets used in the play are autochthonous and simple Slovenian hand-puppets called lileki. We could put the basic story in present time. It is about differences in society. It is also about the fact that being honest and good can pay back, even after years or decades. The performance is dedicated to children but even more to adults. The audience was thrilled by the acting, content and message of the play.
The two-day cultural programme was completed after the play by a dinner and short socialising with the actors. Representatives of the Association Triglav from Banja Luka were satisfied by this year’s cultural programme, including everyone who attended the events.

It was a great pleasure to us to cooperate with the Slovenian Emigrant’s Association which organised the two-day programme for Slovenians in Banja Luka, during which one could definitely feel the cultural and artistic pulse of Slovenia, as if we were at home.
