The Prešeren’s Day, Slovenian culture holiday was marked in our Association this year as well. Traditionally, we gathered on 8 February to socialise and rejoice, as well as to talk and learn something new.

Of course, that evening was dedicated to the life and works of the greatest Slovenian poet.
It was an opportunity to present Prešern’s life to the gathered people in an interesting way. Subsequently, students of the Supply Teaching School of the Slovenian Language recited author’s most famous poems, such as Dohtar and Sodlaška. Other members of the Association joined them and presented the most famous verses of Prešeren. The programme was then enriched with an instrumental performance carried out by our young musicians.
The official programme, as usual, was closed by our choir Davorin Jenko performing a joyful song of Gorenjska. We then continued to socialise until late into the night.
