Slovenian filmography is also abundant. We will mention only some: starting from the older movies Tistega lepega dne, Vesna, Ne čakaj na maj, Cvetje v jeseni, Ples v dežju, To so gadi, Moj ata, socialistični kulak, Babica gre na jug, to the recent ones Outsider, Petelinji zajtrk, Estrelita ali pesem za domov, Pod njenim oknom, Od groba do groba, Zadnja večerja …

It was the teacher of supply teaching lessons Valentina Gradič who suggested that every second Tuesday be dedicated to a Slovenian movie whereby awareness of Slovenian culture would also spread.

We will gather every second Tuesday in the month at 19.30 hrs – we will watch a movie and then talk about it or simply go home, each of us carrying own impressions.

This Tuesday we watched Slovenian classics – Cvetje v jeseni, chosen by the teacher as an excellent literary proposal with great music and beautiful views of nature of Škofjeloško-Cerkljanske mountains. Yet another reason is that roles therein are played by Slovenian movie legends – the then young Milena Zupančič and Polde Bibič. The movie has got the sad end but those who managed to understand the elements due to which the teacher had chosen the movie surely enjoyed it. The group consisted of people of different age, there were around 20 of us who like movies which is rather encouraging for a start.

Next time we will gather on Tuesday, April 12, when we will watch a movie of a more cheerful content.
