From 23-29 July 2017 a summer school – Slovenian in a different way was organised by the Slovenian Migrant Association, Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and Institute for Education of the Republic of Slovenia.

CŠOD and Institute for Education of the Republic of Slovenia organised a one-week camp for learning Slovenian in Gorenje nad Zrečami from 16 to 22 July 2017.

At the 12th Youth Summer School of Slovenian in Ljubljana, which ended on 14 July, there participated five students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian from Banjaluka.

„Welcome, welcome home, to all of you who came to Prekmurje, Murska Sobota and Rakičan for traditional gathering of Slovenians from all over the world“, were the welcoming words of the presenter.

On Saturday, 30 June in the village of Piskavica, the traditional 13th ethno festival Kozara etno 2017 was opened.

On Sunday, 25 June 2017, in Petar Kočić park there performed Brkinska godba 2000 from Hrpelje Kozina.

On Saturday, 24 June 2017, the Association of Slovenians »Triglav« Banjaluka marked VIII Slovenian Day.

On Friday, 23 June 2017, in Cultural Centre Banski dvor in Banjaluka we organised specialised lecture on Plečnik’s Ljubljana.

Our Mixed choir Davorin Jenko again this year participated at two events in Šentvid pri Stični: Saturday concert of Slovenian choirs from other countries and the 48th Gathering of Slovenian choirs.

On Saturday, 17 June, pupils of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian gathered in the National Minorities’ Club where they were greeted by Slovenian actress and author Saša Pavček.
