Sunday, April 14, 2019, for the Slovenian Citizens’ Association Breza was a day that will forever be registered in the journals of Slovenians living in BiH.

The Slovenian Association has functioned for 25 years in Breza. A number of small associations have been trying to preserve their identity throughout the year, which was also evident at the event in Breza. All present, among which were the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia H.E. Zorica Bukinac, as well as Zvone Žigon, PhD, and Suzana Martinez from the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad, a Slovenian language teacher Mateja Kregar, representatives of the town of Breza, members of Slovenian associations from Kakanj, Zenica, Sarajevo and the Association of Slovenians of RS Triglav Banja Luka, welcomed the President of the Slovenian Association of Citizens of Breza, Ms. Ina Bartula. In the official programme, there performed senior members of the host association who attend additional classes of the Slovenian language, and the mixed choir Camerata Slovenica from Sarajevo. Representative of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad Zvone Žigon congratulated the president of the association Breza for the successful running of the association and gave her recognition on the occasion of the anniversary of the association. Representatives of other Slovenian associations in BiH also extended their congratulations.
